MOCA - Museum of Contemporary Art
From April 28 through July 11, the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) will present “Collection Focus: Our Beginnings Never Know Our Ends,” a new exhibition of artworks that explore ideas of selfhood and the negotiation of relationships. Curated by Elizabeth Shannon, the exhibition is the second in a series of recent permanent collection.
Many works, particularly those created by women and LGBTQA+ artists, challenge and subvert existing hierarchies; others encourage viewers to think carefully about identity and its expression. Some pieces highlight the conflicting influences, histories & narratives that contribute to a sense of self and the difficulty of truly comprehending anyone else.
The exhibition features works by Ann Agee, Hernan Bas, Christine Borland, Inka Essenhigh, Luis Gispert, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Joel Otterson, Elaine Reichek, Ilene Segalove, Beverly Semmes, Anna-Maria Sircello, ShiniqueSmith, Michael Vasquez & Helen Verhoeven.
Pedro Leon Zapata Solo Show
An individual show by the famous Venezuelan illustrator Pedro Leon Zapata will be showcased the month of March 2021 at 151 NW 36 Street. in Miami.
Zapata (27 February 1929 – 6 February 2015) was a prominent Venezuelan artist, humorist and cartoonist.
Over 70 artworks' prints from the series "Los Refranes mas Ilustres" from Polar edition as well as other serigraphs will be in display at this Wynwood space.
The museographer Ms. Ilian Arvelo prepared a pleasant display of Zapata's work in effort to enhance the illustrators works.

MANDALAS Art Exhibition in Wynwood
March 1st 2021
A special mandala exhibition took place in Wynwood at Miart Space from February 19th to March 1st. 2021 The exhibition showcased mandala artworks by artists with special abilities in the autism spectrum.
The exhibition took place during pandemic following all CDC recommendation to avoid the virus spread.

Colombian artists Clara Ochoa at MIFA
The contemporary artist Clara Ochoa exhibited her artworks in an elegant collective show at the art center MIFA in Miami. The opening night on February 5th 2021 was a successful event with important visitors like the Colombian Consul Sr. Pedro Agustin Valencia and other personalities and art connoisseurs from the Miami Art field.
Clara Ochoa is a talented Colombian artist who has showcased her artworks in galleries and art centers in US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Her unique bright colors, and pop art style characterize her unique art pieces. The art show brought together the proposal of six artists that participated in this cultural experience organized by Hispafest. The curator of the collective show is the knowledgably Cuban professional Mr. Felix Suazo. This contemporary exhibition is in display at MIFA located at 5900 NW 74 Ave. Miami FL 33166. The exhibition follows all the CDC recommendations during pandemic to avoid any virus spread.

Juried photography exhibition in Wynwood, Florida - United States
October 16th to November 13th 2020
The photography exhibition at Miart Space gallery was pleased to give an honorific mention to the talented photographer Miguel Hernandez who was accepted to participate in a Photography exhibition in South Korea. The judge Ms. Ilian Arvelo gave in presence to the attendees the award to Mr. Hernandez the past November 7th 2020 at the gallery Miart Space.
Ms. Arvelo used her immense knowledge and expertise to judge and evaluate the work of other visual artists. Her participation proved her exceptionally artistic criteria by assigning the awards for “Artwork language honorable mention” in the photography exhibition. Ms. Arvelo has many years of experience in the field and has complete artistic knowledge to take this important task as a juror. Ms. Arvelo is an experienced artist and photographer with international background in Italy, U.S. and South America.
The awarded photographer Mr. Miguel Hernandez, was accepted by a Korean committee to participate in the Astan Photography exhibition in South Korea 2020. Miguel Hernandez is an emerging photographer who lives in Miami, United States and was born in 1982 in Caracas. He works in the music and entertainment industry and has translated his creative nature from designing special effects and stages, to the camera. He studied photography in the United States and started capturing landscapes and unique perspectives in all the places he went to work.

Borderline Exhibition during pandemic
October 24th to November 7th 2020
On Saturday October 24th a group of talented artists will present a collective show curated by Pia Cruzalegui and Felix Suazo at ID Art Lab.
This collective exhibition will present different views of life during pandemic. The exhibition will showcase the work from 9 talented artists with their different ways of expression. The exhibiting artists are: Ilian Arvelo, Muu Blanco, Ivan Castillo Lagrange, Pia Cruzalegui, Alexandra de Yavorsky, Diego Damas, Domingo De Lucia, Astolfo Funes & Ana Carolina Moreno.

Contemporary Art Exhibition in Wynwood
Fabulous juried exhibition took place at Miart Space gallery with a fantastic contemporary show that opened the series of "Summer Exhibitions" after the business lock-down.
The contemporary exhibition was composed by five talented international artists who exhibited their works from August 7th to 28th. The exhibition opened to the public taking all the CDC precautions of face covering, limited occupancy and distancing.
The judges/ artists Teresa Cabello and Silvia Parra gave an honorable mention to artists William Villanueva and Patricia Reagan. The mention was based on the artistic language created in their artworks, where the artists make the observers interact with the artworks.

"Expressing Ourselves" is an upcoming exhibition coming up this October and November 2020.
Women Living with Breast Cancer with present their artworks in a beautiful show to be held on Tuesday, October 27th at the Miami Beach JCC.
The Miami Beach JCC and Sharsheret invite community artists and writers to be part of this exhibition. The virtual opening event will be on October 27th at 7:30pm.

Every year the well-know ArtBasel Show comes to the city of Miami during the first week of December. It is then when the major cultural events take place and the season is named MIAMI ART WEEK. Historical Wynwood Exhibition 2019
The exhibition Historical Wynwood took place last December 6th, 7th & 8th 2019 as a cultural enrichment for the community of Miami.
This photography & urban art exhibit took place at Art Center Wynwood located on 36St. The exhibition took place during the basel weekend and had an excellent turn out. The exhibition emphasized the history of Wynwood and served as a promotional event for the upcoming biennale that will take place next Spring 2020.

Miami Symphony Orchestra
Golden Award recognition
October 2019 - Miami
The 20th of October the Miami Symphony Orchestra MISO started the classic music season 2019 at the Addrianne Arsht Center in Miami.
The fabulous concert opened the series of concerts that MISO will present in the city of Miami.
The impressive concert hall was enlightened by the Miso Golden Award recognition. The recognition was given by the music director and conductor Mr Eduardo Marturet to Ms Milly and Mr Patrick Park.
Mr & Ms Park are dedicated to the art of philanthropy and are important supporters for the Miami Symphony Orchestra. Early this year the Parks dedication to charity prompted noted philanthropist Lois Pope to donate an ambulance named for the couple.
The important trophy was a one of a kind piece elaborated by the contemporary artist Gustavo Fernandez, and was composed by a double baton composition.
Mr Fernandez is a recognized local artist who has exhibited his work in America, Asia and Europe. His valuable contribution to this event was recognized by the assisting audience.
TALENTED ARTIST DIEGO CARDENAS FROM PARIS TO US
After a successful internship at Atelier Cruz Diez in Paris, the talented artist Diego Cardenas returns to US with fantastic new projects in his schedule including a master at SCAD.
Diego Cárdenas was born in Caracas, Venezuela; attended school in the US and currently works for Campbellsville University as the Creative Developer and Landscape Designer. In this institution he has painted about 6 murals and is the first student to ever have a space identified with his name; space in which he has painted 15 murals up to date.
His work has been exhibited in Campbellsville, Miami, New York, Caracas and Tokyo. Cardena's work expands from murals go through drawings and sculptures.
The coming Miami Art Week 2019 in December will be delighted with Cardena's exhibition in Wynwood. The talented emerging artist Diego Cardenas will be part of a selected group exhibition at the gallery Miart Space in the Wynwood Art District.

"EDO the illustrator" in Wynwood
The famous illustrator EDO (Eduardo Sanabria) presented a solo show exhibition in the Wynwood Art District in Miami for the month of September 2018. His solo show is a combination of pop art with caricatures presented in a very elegant exhibit. EDO is the artistic name for Eduardo Sanabria, born in Venezuela in 1970. He has successfully exhibited his work in America, Europe and Asia with total admiration from his followers and collectors.
EDO's artworks are very unique in a way, he can cartoonize any famous character. From Warhol to Picasso to politics or religious personalities could be found in his solo exhibit. Wynwood Art District
The main art district in Miami is called Wynwood, where most of the galleries and art centers are located. Over a dozen of art fairs come to the city and more than fifty galleries prepare special exhibitions with contemporary art to display.
This area of Wynwood is well known for the graffiti art, good art centers, galleries, local artists studios and now trendy restaurants.Known for its many colorful murals, Wynwood is one of the city’s most happening districts. JUAN CRISTOBAL ARAOZ solo show exhibit in Miami at the Wynwood art district.
Juan Cristóbal is a contemporary artist born in La Paz, Bolivia. After finishing high school, he moved to the United States to continue studies at the University of Kansas where he obtained two Bachelor’s Degrees, Economics and Business Administration.
In 2011 he moved back to the United States. He has continued studies not only in Finance at the Florida International University but also in Arts attending different acrylic and mix media workshops in US. Juan quotes:“In the need to find a stress outlet from my day to day work routine in Miami, I reconnected to a hidden passion that as a child I had but never fully explored, art. As a kid I would spend the weekends at my father’s studio drawing, painting and creating mock-ups since he is an architect, and at the same time my mother will give me all kinds of art supplies, color pencils, oils, drawing books and much more”.

LATIN ARTISTS SHOWCASING IN ASIA
The past September 2017 Art Center Miami participated once again at the annual exhibition Beijing Art Expo in the City of Beijing, China. The successful exhibition took place until September 3rd with thousands of spectators that attended the art expo at the China International Exhibition Center.

Ana Carolina Moreno is a Venezuelan contemporary artist born in 1970. Ana graduated as an architect in Venezuela and the studied Fine Arts in the US. She has successfully exhibited her mixed media artworks in Asia, Europe and US. She expresses in her paintings a metaphor of life as a fish pond.
David Yeghaneh is a French painter born in 1964 . He is formerly a scholar of political science and started his very successful career as an artist in Seoul Korea where he lived for a few years. He uses Korean pigments for her paintings and has exhibited his abstract series all over the world.
Eduardo Sanabria, was born in Venezuela, in 1970. His caricatures have been published in many newspapers in North and South America. He studied illustration and was awarded the Gold Pen Prize as the best cartoonist in 2007. He has many exhibitions in Venezuela, North America, Asia & Europe.
Erion Cha is a Korean artist born in 1980. She studied fine arts in US at the San Francisco Art Institute. Erion Cha had successfully exhibit her artwork all over the world. She has developed a series of the Big Prince with over one hundred paintings in oil. Erion has successfully exhibited her work in Asia and America.
Eva Castell is a talented artist from Argentina. Eva studied fine art in her native country Argentina. She meditates on daily basis to connect with her inner side. The visions under deep meditation give her the inspiration to create her mystical paintings. Her unique strokes in oil are characteristic of her paintings.
Mai Yap is a contemporary Chinese artist born in in Panama in 1964 of Chinese parents. Ms. Mai Yap has been able to magically blend East and West on canvas with her series in oil. She holds a Bachelor in Arts in Journalism and Graphic Design from the University of Georgia in U.S. Mai uses only palette knife oil strokes in her work.
Silvia Rosales is a very spiritual Argentinian artist who lived in Miami. She has elaborated a series of mandalas with powerful meanings. Silvia uses metallic paint for her mystical artworks. Silvia has successfully exhibited her mandala work in many galleries in the United States.
